Memory, present and vision of the future at Jura Soyfer

Three moments in Jura Soyfer’s work are analyzed from the current perspective that emerges from the debates about Black lives matter to see how in his work visions of the past, i.e. remembered historical images, present images and dreams of the future, provide a model for thinking about the problem of human coexistence in a globalized world. Broadway melody 1492, The scene PROFESSOR GUCK MAKES AN INVENTION and The prologue in the end of the world are the focus of the analysis.
